Warren Holmes
International Creative Director
‘The Next Big Name in Hairdressing’ Elle Magazine, 2010
Warren Holmes’s impeccable attention to detail and creative vision have made him one of the most in-demand new hair stylists.
Warren’s intuitive sense of trends and ability to create endless individual looks for each model, celebrity and client he works on have him widely considered one of London’s most inventive, conceptual hair stylists.
Creating contemporary femininity and glamour is something Warren Holmes is strongly associated with. It is no surprise his individual body of work has caught the eyes of the Royal Family; Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie whom Warren styles.
Styling Hair for Celebrities is something Warren Holmes has been accustomed too, touching the heads of Sienna Miller, Supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, Daisy Lowe, Lily Donaldson, Jennifer Hawkins, Lara Stone, Liberty Ross, Alice Dellal, Stella Tennant; entertainment perosonalities Claudia Winkleman and Tim Burton; respected industry clients such as The Daily Telegraph’s Hilary Alexander, Designers Matthew Williamson, Amanda Wakeley, Karen Millen and Daniella Issa whom Warren has styled that give him most satisfaction: “these guys know the score so it’s a real compliment to do their hair.”
Warren’s radically expressive, beautiful, yet very much wearable styles, have been seen on the runway for such diverse fashion houses such as Chanel, Vivienne Westwood, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, John Rocha, Armani, Matthew Williamson, Aquasctutum, Issa, Berardi, Amanda Wakeley and many more.
His training from a young age has been nothing short of phenomenal. Working closely with Nicky Clarke in his teens and early twenties, he learned the fundamentals of hairdressing off his idol and mentor. Warren continued to push his education and learn from the hairdressing greats. It is no coincidence then that Warren’s career is taking shape similar to that of Nicky, by combining his time between session and salon work.
Warren’s career started moving rapidly when he was offered a job as a Creative Consultant for a hair brand in Sydney, Australia where he was tasked to build a diverse training structure. It was in Australia that he joined forces with Chanel and began styling hair for their shows; dividing his time between Melbourne and Sydney and ultimately falling into session styling.
On his return from Australia, Warren soon collaborated with legend Malcolm Edwards. Travelling the globe and working with the very biggest names in the fashion and entertainment industry including Film Director Tim Burton and Photographers such as Mario Testino, Tim Walker, Solve Sunsdsbo and Miles Aldridge to name but a few. Warren’s work with Malcolm has seen him work on some of fashion’s biggest publications including British, French and Italian Vogue, British and American Harpers Bizarre, V magazine and many more.
As the resident fashion hair stylist for the Daily Telegraph – the UK’s biggest online Fashion website – Warren’s ‘Do It Yourself Catwalk Hair’ movies have become a worldwide sensation; reaching more than 1 million hits. Warren also collaborates with Hilary Alexander and her hugely successful ‘Ask Hilary Makeovers’.
Education is something Warren is incredibly passionate about. Used as an ambassador and mentor by City&Guilds to promote their campaign to encourage young people to forge a career in hairdressing, Warren excelled and was also used by another government scheme, Connexions, and was again positioned as a mentor for the young people on their programs.
Warren, 26, currently resides in London.
