Hair Accessories
This season’s Hair key accessories are The Kaftan Bandana and the chic Headscarves we saw at Dolce and Gabana Spring Summer 2011.
The festival season in Britain means that a hair accessory is a necessity for some, largely to help with unruly hair but they should be worn in so many different ways. Time again we see designers sending girls down the runway with hair accessorise. They have now become a contemporary way of complimenting your outfit.
Spring Summer 2010 saw the re-emergence of Hair accessories in a big way. Over sized bows, berets and headbands brightly turning up the volume on the season’s looks at Marc Jacobs.
Wear your Kaftan by plaiting into the hair or twisting into rope braids with tendrils of hair randomly falling around the face to add softness and spontaneity. Loud colours are en-vogue. Work in tandem with your outfit though and don’t be scared to allow a bit of contradiction. Modernise the way you wear the headscarf by using grips to re-shape material. Pull hair through the back and knot into hair.
This season hair has taken on a 70s feeling – the tail end of the hippy era – an era Bandanas and head scarves were prominently worn. To give the look more quality, hair needs to be dressed underneath. Don’t always think tousled hair; perfectly straight hair as seen at Dolce and Gabbana is the perfect way of dressing the Chic Headscarf.
