I have worked on the Rigby & Peller campaigns for the past three years now and I love being able to create styles that are for strong women! Each of the campaigns focus on one model, it is a very specific science as not only do I need to ensure that women aspire to look like the model, she also needs to look timeless to have the widest appeal.
For the last shoot it was a real ‘Bardot’ look but with a slightly more discheveled feel to suit the slightly ’50′s motel’ set. The hair was loosely tonged, back combed at the crown which was the ‘Bardot’ signature look & clip in extensions added throughout to create a little more length. When thinking about what hair to create, I referenced old movie glamour, Bridget Bardot and I love some of the more modern 50′s style Guess campaigns.
I based up the hair with Nicky Clarke Hair Raising and then I used Nicky Clarke Hold and Shine Ultimate Hairspray to finish. We didn’t want too much of a finished shine, a little more matted texture was the right look.
