A decade and 1.1bn questions after Ask Jeeves launched in the UK, the website is asking the public to help answer its top 10 “unanswerable” queries – including “Did Tony Soprano die?” and “Do blondes have more fun?”.
As part of its 10th birthday celebrations, the site has signed up celebrities including our very own Nicky Clarke, TV presenter Sarah Beeny and astrologer Russell Grant to try to answer the queries.

2. Is there a God?
3. Do blondes have more fun?
4. What is the best way to lose weight?
5. Is there anybody out there?
6. Who is the most famous person in the world?
7. What is love?
8. What is the secret to happiness?
9. Did Tony Soprano die?
10. How long will I live?
To celebrate the anniversary the company has launched a website, uk.ask.com/unanswerables to give members of the public the chance to shed light on some of the trickiest questions that have been asked over the last decade.
In response to the question “Do blondes have more fun?” Nicky said;
“This is a cliché statement but like all cliché statements, there is an element of truth. There is the common belief that people with blonder or lighter hair fit into the ‘having more fun’ category, and the brunettes of the world are considered more serious and sultry.
I believe that when a non-blonde has some lighter pieces put into her hair around the face, it automatically makes her feel fresher and brighter. It’s the same effect when wearing a white shirt as this is something which reflects light onto the face. It also has the effect of making you feel that you’ve come from sunnier climbs/holiday which again evokes a feeling of well being and a healthy/happy lifestyle, .
So, for me, when asked ‘do blondes have more fun?’ it’s more about going lighter or brighter rather than going for the stereotyped ‘bleach blonde’ look which can often – especially when not done well – give off a cheaper or more common look.
Having said that, I know plenty of brunettes who would put themselves into the fun category having never been blonde!”
