4 Way Plait Ponytail
“OK, so I know you cant do this by yourself and that’s exactly why ive created this look. This is ideally for people with long thick hair and lots of it. I recently had a request from a teenage girl who said she just wanted to have fun with her hair, something she could do with her friends that could still be worn after. Instantly I thought of putting it up and creating a shape but I only wanted to use grips so I needed some firmness from somewhere and most importantly TEXTURE! A plait gives great texture to hair and you can mould it into a shape as its firmer. I went for a 4 way plait which is simply a technique that divides the hair into quarters and overlaps. You do need a spair pair of hands though. From there just mould it into a shape, loop it, roll into a bun etc. I used a Nicky Clarke smooth it over Serum which is great for taming down fly-aways.
Insider Tip: Why not include some material with one of the quarters of hair your braiding, the finished look looks very kooky and can accessorise your outfit!”
