Hair, Hair Tips & Advice, Trends By Warren Holmes
Spring trends and tips
Look at the Key Hair Trends, looks that you see on the catwalk and use them for inspiration, obviously you can’t always look like a runway model or be in hair and make up for an hour. The 4 key trends that are appearing are:
Small tight Updos, Ponytails, 70’s glamour and what I call scuba diver shower hair.
There are always Haircuts that come through the season, this spring summer we will see the re-emergence of the 70’s fringe, think Kate Moss in the Longchamp Spring Summer 2011 campaign.
On more mature ladies I certainly think you should look for inspiration on the runway or magazines. I’m really liking collarbone length hair very long layers and a heavy fringe. Heated rollers give great shape and bounce to the style and creates Hair that moves and has texture.
Keratin treatments are excellent for revitalising hair, they’re expensive but work and don’t weigh the hair down. You can do a course of them and you will see the benefits immediately.
As mentioned in my previous article “How to refresh your hair after the winter“, nutrition, regular cuts and getting into a daily routine are all excellent ways of revitalising mature hair. In some cases hair gets coarser as you get older, so I would definitely suggest using treatments. As hair can also go limp and fine, a good volumising product is essential; Nicky Clarke Hair Raising is my favourite for adding long lasting guts to hair.
