The idea for Valentino Fall Winter 2014 was something classic, or as normal as a braid or pony. The backstage session team added another dimension to the Valentino woman, She’s strong and she’s a warrior, she for sure screams Valentino.
The look that cascaded down models’ spines, created the “dimension” and change for the season ahead, It came by way of “little balls or bubbles” that were tied off with black elastic—”a very sort of seventies, late sixties kind of idea,” we noted. The strict center part, slight height at the crown, and hair pulled over the ears—all quintessential beauty signatures of the house remained.
The rest of the collection, created by Director’s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli began their fall collection with bright contrasts in vivid patchwork circular motifs inspired by Italian Pop Art and a touch of Sixties Mod. A beautiful display of craftwork and rich detail along with abbreviated versions of Bohemian style dresses completed this exceptional collection, beautiful link to the locks that were created!
