Fearne Cotton looked amazing at this year’s BAFTA awards. This quirky and stylish 70’s inspired hairstyle complimented her William Vintage dress perfectly.
Here is a simple guide on how to achieve Fearne’s fabulous do by our Nicky Clarke Style Director at Mayfair, Ondine Cowley.
With this look it is important to Spritz in a pre styling spray such as the Nicky Clarke Hair Raising all over the hair to really hold the style in.
Using medium sized heated rollers, wrap the hair around the roller. Instead of rolling the hair around the roller from the end of the hair to the scalp, pop a section over the roller and wind the hair onto the roller from the scalp to the end. The heat will be strongest nearer the scalp and you will get a more even curl as the heat is being distributed slightly differently.
Leave the rollers to set for twenty minutes and blast your hair with a hair dryer on a cool heat before taking them out.
Once the rollers have been removed start raking your hair with your fingers to separate the curls and create a more playful ‘messy’ look.
Divide the hair into a side parting and using a comb take random sections of the hair and start backcombing.
Finish the look with vast amounts of hairspray such as the Nicky Clarke Hold and Shine Ultimate Hairspray to really lock in the look.
